Optimalisasi Proses Penggilingan Bahan Mentah Keramik Stoneware Dengan Peramalan Distribusi Partikel Menggunakan Metode Simulasi Komputer, LOGIC, Poltek UNUD, 2001

ABTSRAK
Dalam pengolahan bahan baku keramik stoneware, dimana diperlukan operasi pengilingan untuk campuran bahan dengan tingkat kekerasaan yang berbeda, informasi mengenai distribusi partikel sangat penting dalam meramalkan komsumsi daya dan pemakaian waktu untuk memperoleh tingkat kalusan butiran yang diinginkan., Dalam operasi giling, partikel-partikel yang termuat didalam alat giling mengalami perubahan ukuran butiran setiap waktunya. pengamatan fisik butiran sebenarnya dapat dilakukan dengan mengambil sampel pada interval waktu tertentu dalam mesin penggiling. Namun dengan simulasi komputer, penggambaran distribusi tersebut lebih mudah dilaksanakan dengan hasil yang tidak jauh berbeda. Sebagai alat bantu untuk keperluan ini, dibuat perangkat lunak untuk simulasi komputer ini dimana operasi aritmatis dalam program komputer dibuat dengan mengubah fungsi integral menjadi fungsi numeris persamaan matematis yang berhubungan dengan perubahan ukuran butiran tersebut. Optimalisasi proses penggilingan ini akan sangat menghemat waktu dan biaya produksi keramik yang dihasilkan

ABTRACT 
OPTIMATION CERAMIC STONEWARE GRINDING PROCESS WITH USING COMPUTER METHOD FOR ESTIMATION OF PARTICLE DISTRIBUTION 
In the preparation of ceramic stoneware raw material, the grinding process is the most process needed where The information concerning particles distribution during grinding process is very important. A particle of material in grinding equipment is continuously changing into smaller size as function of time.. From this information can be derived the time and the energy required to obtain particles in certain size. However, directly observation of the grinding process to obtain that information is very difficult (need accurate equipment), and time consuming. A better method is using computer to calculate the particle distribution. Therefore, a simulation software has been design for that purpose. The designed software solves the integral equation problems by numerical approach. This integral problem is mathematical model of grinding rate of particles.Optimation of grinding procee will reduce consuming time and minimalize cost of ceramic raw material production

PEMBUATAN KOMPOSISI GLASIR BEBAS LOGAM BERAT BARIUM DAN SENG DENGAN METODE OPTIMALISASI GLASIR MENGGUNAKAN MODEL OPTIMIZATION OF GLASS BATCH COMPOSITION (OGBC)

Abstract  Firing behavior test has been carried out and physical properties of the glazes are calculated by using mathematical models describing the properties as additive functions of their oxide composition (OGBC model).. The calculation procedure of optimizing the glaze composition satisfying certain desired properties of the glaze. To Obtain properties of the glaze, mineralogical testing was caried out by AAS and spectrofotometry. The result of firing behavior which has given curve that need to determine level of temperature and OGBC model which has given properties range are used to determine a Good qualitity of glaze. RANCANG BANGUN TUNGKU BERBAHAN BAKAR LPG DENGAN VOLUME RUANG BAKAR 1 M 3 SUHU BAKAR MAKSIMUM 1300 0 C UNTUK PEMBAKARAN KERAMIK

Abstract A downdraft kiln using LPG as energy source with capacity 1 m 3 and maximum firing temperature 1300 0 C has been constructed. For firing ceramic process, most of Balinese and Lombok craftsmen use firewood as energy source. This method is inefficient from the production rate. Point of view, downdraft kiln can help the craftsmen to process ceramic easier, faster and cheaper. Downdraft kiln using LPG has been selected as an alternative kiln due to minimum pollutant produced compare with updraft kiln using coal or firewood. The kiln constructed has fulfilled the requirement of kiln firing process quality in which the firing causes sintering process in the ceramics body.
