Aplikasi Bata Interlocking Untuk Rekonstruksi Pasca Letusan Gunung Merapi

ABSTRACT:    Merapi mount has broken some building in Yogyakarta in 2010. That occurance has inspirated to study and then developing some building wchich can hold up disaster by vulcanic and tectonic earthquake. Interlocking brick has some advantages for exeample are ease to engineered, less consumption of energy, and less production cost. Some composition has conducted to get proper interlocking brick material in order to fulfill ASTM standard for building brick. The composition consist of local sand, clay and cement. Interlocking brick has tested to ensure the strength of brick. Testing of interlocking brick to ensure its performance and to calculate the cost of building shown that the cost of building construction is 1.200.000 rupiah/m2, cheaper than using clay brick or other traditional brick. Based on this result, the interlocking brick can be considered to replace traditional brick especially in the land close to erupted mount andtectonic earthquake...

PEMBUATAN KOMPOSISI GLASIR BEBAS LOGAM BERAT BARIUM DAN SENG DENGAN METODE OPTIMALISASI GLASIR MENGGUNAKAN MODEL OPTIMIZATION OF GLASS BATCH COMPOSITION (OGBC)

Abstract  Firing behavior test has been carried out and physical properties of the glazes are calculated by using mathematical models describing the properties as additive functions of their oxide composition (OGBC model).. The calculation procedure of optimizing the glaze composition satisfying certain desired properties of the glaze. To Obtain properties of the glaze, mineralogical testing was caried out by AAS and spectrofotometry. The result of firing behavior which has given curve that need to determine level of temperature and OGBC model which has given properties range are used to determine a Good qualitity of glaze. Based on OGBC calculaton, Glaze made from barium oxide and zinc with composition are Felspar 39, Wollastonite 11 Kapur 5, Kaolin 6, Zirkon silikat 11, Dolomit 6, Kuarsa 13, ZnO 2, BaCO 3 2 (on percent weight), barium and zinc content can be reduced and give same quality.The final composition free barium and zinc are : Felspar 42, Wollastonite 12, kapur 5, Kaol...

RANCANG BANGUN TUNGKU BERBAHAN BAKAR LPG DENGAN VOLUME RUANG BAKAR 1 M 3 SUHU BAKAR MAKSIMUM 1300 0 C UNTUK PEMBAKARAN KERAMIK

Abstract A downdraft kiln using LPG as energy source with capacity 1 m 3 and maximum firing temperature 1300 0 C has been constructed. For firing ceramic process, most of Balinese and Lombok craftsmen use firewood as energy source. This method is inefficient from the production rate. Point of view, downdraft kiln can help the craftsmen to process ceramic easier, faster and cheaper. Downdraft kiln using LPG has been selected as an alternative kiln due to minimum pollutant produced compare with updraft kiln using coal or firewood. The kiln constructed has fulfilled the requirement of kiln firing process quality in which the firing causes sintering process in the ceramics body. The kiln with a capacity of 1m 3 can reach a maximum firing temperature which of 1300 0 C. Download Full text (click here)
